WHERE does all that ENERGY come from??? What are Gai's fears? His favorite magical animal? Anything he regrets?

The ENERGY is partly innate and partly from a deep inner drive to always surpass his own potential. He fears that if he fails, he will let his precious friends down. His favorite magical animal is a Chinese dragon, all sinewy strength and symbolic benevolence. He regrets not being strong enough to change the world around him, and not being able to save a friend when he was a child... a tragedy that he keeps a deep secret.
