I am overwhelmingly proud of the magnificent outpouring of fellow feeling you have all shown for your fellow Hufflepuff in this crisis. Loyalty is the true measure of what we stand for -- not to our House, not to blood status, but to those who are most precious to us -- and all of you have come through for Minato this week. *proud smile*

Now it is more important than ever not to let yourselves or your friends fall into danger. If you are worried about someone, find one of us and let us help. If you are afraid, come to me or to your Defense teachers and learn to be strong. The best thing you can do now is not to hide, nor to lash out, but to raise yourselves up, to become strong, competent wizards with no need to fear the darkness. And if there is any way I can aid you in learning to lift that load, tell me, and we shall become strong together!

*Can also be found prowling the grounds after hours, apparently intent upon his very own 'patrol' of sorts... Though perhaps getting a bit closer to the Dungeons than he should 'rightfully' be...*

*hears and senses a familiar presence nearby, and perks up slightly, pausing in hesitation before forgoing whatever he had previously been intent upon in favor of wandering over to see what Gai is up to*

*pauses mid-step, quirks one eyebrow briefly in a quizzical way at Gai, it never would stop amazing Paul to see people pull off things he wouldn't think them capable of... Though he's starting to reconsider his previous opinions of Gai every time he meets him*

Mmm... You could say that... *slight shrug, flashes a brief smirk at the other* Figured I have little else to do with my night hours... Might as well make sure all the kiddies are 'playing nice'... Or not straying from their common rooms after hours...

*nods, tilts head* I've decided to resume patrolling the school after hours, as I did during my first year of training as an Auror candidate. Halls, wards, locks... the usual things. *not to mention all the hidey-holes he remembers from his years as a student.

*blinks, shrugs* That's probably a good idea, 's not like this place couldn't benefit from more 'n a few Teachers wandering the halls after hours...

... I didn't think to check wards or anything, though... *a bit meekly said* I was mostly just trying to be useful for a change... I usually can't sleep at night, so... *trails off*
