Honey, I want to see pictures. It's not fair, being stuck here. ^_^

Counselor Yukari, can you please not kill my friend Tatsuki?

They're going to let me see Lee today! Does anyone have a message for him?

Blasted cast. Stupid brace. At least I can walk now.

[[Filtered to Temari]]

Temari, I wanted to ask you about something I saw during the fight. When Gaara was... enraged... he was talking about himself in the third person -- it seemed as though he was someone else entirely. Do you know of anything that could explain that?

...

...Great ninjizards who risked their lives for the sake of their villages performed life-threatening magic on these biju that sealed them into the bodies of humans. These humans act as containers for these biju, but I assure you, these dark creatures are still around...

*hushed* And Gaara is one of these... with something that terrible sealed into his soul?

How awful... to seal a demon into a child who doesn't even have a choice....

But surely the creature wasn't supposed to surface like that. Did something go wrong with the spell?

[[I'm assuming Gai didn't know about this because he became a ninjizard late. And he's referring to everything in wizarding terms because he's spent a long time trying to relate ninjutsu to wizardry.]]

Yes. Gaara is one of them. He had the Ichibi sealed inside of him in the womb. I do not who did it, or know how, either.

No, nothing went wrong with the spell, to my knowledge. Could've been stronger, maybe...but anyone who has the biju sealed inside of them can lose control of the monster at certain times. Well...to tell you the truth...I think Gaara is the only one who loses control of his at times...Most others never even find out they are carriers until well into their later years. Some have even gone through life for decades without even knowing that they are carriers.

The Ichibi.... *sits back digesting all this* Then there could be eight more carriers somewhere and nobody would even know it!? Egad.

If Gaara's the only one, maybe the spell's wearing down... or maybe the Ichibi is too strong for it... or....

Temari, how does Gaara cope with this? Does he have any hopes of changing his relationship with the biju? Because if he can't learn a way to control it, he'll never be free to live his own life.

No, I never said that. A great, powerduk ninjizard has to be responsible for the sealing of the great beasts, and usually there is reason as to why the certain person is chosen to be the carrier, so of course they are known by someone...

Gaara...

Well, with Gaara...the fact that he had the Ichibi, or 'Shukaku', as he is named, inside of him was not hidden from him. As a matter of fact, Gaara was raised to utilize the powers of the Ichibi as a child so that he would one day become the ultimate weapon of the village. Since Gaara has such an open relationship with Shukaku, I am guessing that with a bit of effort, he can take Gaara over whenever he feels right...

...It is difficult, Gai. My brother grew up feared, unloved and pretty much alone. The kids always feared him, so he never really had any friends. He started to keep to himself, too. That's why I was so surprised when I heard that he made a friend somewhere down the line and I didn't know about it...

[[*quack*]]

Then it must be something else that causes Shukaku to take such liberties. *struggling for words* At -- at the end of the fight, it seemed as if Gaara... came back... and he was... not somebody who would have hurt Lee by choice. Do you really think he's capable of stopping that thing?

*eyes tear up* ..That explains part of their bond, then. You should know something about Lee: he has a heart big enough for the whole world, and he knows when someone needs a friend.

Yeah...Sometimes when Shukaku has been weakened enough, I think Gaara can take back control...which is ironic, because Shukaku usually tends to take control of Gaara when Gaara's in a particularly weakened state. No one really knows exactly what goes on for sure...

...I am still not getting that part, though. Gaara has always been the one to say that he in incapable of feeling love and/or affection towards any other than himself. I'm sure you see that tattoo on his forehead...

So what you're saying is that under certain circumstances, Gaara can't stop Shukaku from taking over. *frowns* I wonder if anything could be done about that.

Does Dumbledore know about Shukaku?

Yeah, I saw it. 'Love'. I was wondering why such a quiet, withdrawn boy would have that word written on his head. But... incapable of love!? That's not what I'm hearing from Lee. Sometimes a child who's had a hard time will lock himself up and forget what it's like to feel anything good. That doesn't mean they're incapable -- just out of practice.
