*anybody passing through a certain fourth-floor corridor will be able to see a tall man in flaming green robes trying to wrestle his journal out of the mouth of a statue of Pegasus... one of the realistic ones that includes the fangs and the scales*

*was wandering by looking for someone, but can now only stand and stare in shock and amazement*

*double-take at someone he hasn't met yet* Wh--!? AH, you must be one of our new professors!!! *grins broadly... and then flails as the statue takes advantage of his distraction to yank the journal away from him*

*goes through a number of really interesting faces as he wrenches at the journal; suddenly spots the first-year*

..Eheheheh... nothing to worry about, everything's completely under control!!!

G-Gai?! *is too startled to be happy at the moment*

Misa!! *SHINY GRIN* I haven't seen you in HRRMRNMNG *and bulging of mighty thews and whatnot as the statue fights back* AGES and AGES!!

[[BTW, Gai has theoretically been at Hogwarts every few days as before, although I wasn't around to play him -- I'm just going with the time-honored "my journal got lost" option. XD]]

*rolls and brings out pistol, shoots chunks off statue*

Now that's what I call being prepared!! Amazing -- I didn't know Muggle weapons would even work at Hogwarts!

I am indeed!! But few of the Muggle weapons I know of would work here.

Well, I have to go. I need to re-enforce the wards around greenhouse five.... I think someone has been stealing some of the plants.

Erm. No. I've got it covered. Though if they break through my wards I shall have to consider the unfortunate possiblity that it is not a student stealing the plants.
